Second Life

I have been exploring Second Life (SL) since late October, and I am fascinated by the possibilities. I joined because my husband spends a good deal of time there, and I thought it would be a wonderful way to hang out together during the times that we are geographically separated. I spend about 10 days out of every month down in Santa Cruz, and that is a long time for us to be apart. Indeed, we spend much more time together this way, and it has been interesting to explore there, meet people, be part of a community that is very international.
I am curious about therapeutic possibilities there, and can see the potential for people to try out ways of being that are new in a venue that feels safer than Real Life (RL). With guidance and support, I can imagine them incorporating those new behaviors and ways of being into RL, rather than using SL as just an escape from RL.
If you find your way to Second Life (secondlife.com), look me up there! I'm Ayla Nightfire.
